• Since the character idea is supposed to be a lower-than-peasant-poor warrior, it is ideal if the armor used what looks to be scrap leathers. As if he asked if he could just get the cheapest thing made with whatever the artisan was going to throw away. Ideally, different colors and especially suedes would be good to use, as long as the armor is still relatively sturdy, of course.
• It should generally have the two layers like it’s shown on the site (https://grommetsleathercraft. com/product/leather-cuirass-2/ ). And while I’m not sure, but hope that it’s possible, can you put the buckle straps on the sides/obliques with the buckle on the front part of armor? That way I can buckle it myself by pulling the straps through the buckle in front of me?
In addition, I’m not sure if you can do it in time, but I am also interested in a helm, barbute style. Leather of course. This character could NEVER afford metal armor of any sort (quenched or not). Ideally just a simple ” T ” shape. With enough side opening to be able to turn the eyes to look left and right, without the left and right ends of the T in the way.
