Heraldic Linen Knights Surcoat

This is a long surcoat/ sleeveless tunic made out of medium weight linen.

Garments like these are seen throughout history, whether worn over armor, or as the top layer of daily garments.

For color selection “right” and “left” refer to your right and left when wearing the garment. Generally, the front and back colors will be mirrored (right front red, left back red etc.), but if you’d like yours to match color sides in front and back, just let us know when ordering.

Heraldic devices can be added to the front as a linen overlay that is cut to shape and stitched in place. Simple devices such as crosses, shield, and rampant animals fall under the simple category, whereas more complicated custom designs, or designs with multiple colors would fall under the custom category. There are thousands of different historical options for heraldic devices on surcoats, so please reach out to us before ordering to verify which category your heraldry falls under.

These are closed in the front, back, and sides. They are designed to be a bit baggy and fitted to the body with a belt, with that in mind, we have two sizes available, the S/M size adjusts to fit size 36-42 chest. The L/XL will fit 42-48.
